God-Given Talents and Purpose
While we can't see our future, Jesus can. We use our God-given talents to the best of our ability. Talent is something you're born with, giving you unique skills and abilities. It's distinct from knowledge and can be strengthened and practiced. The Bible tells us we're born with distinct talents and gifts. When you discover and use these talents to glorify Him, you'll experience a full life. Finding purpose leads to a more meaningful, healthier life.
Stewards of God's Grace
As 1 Peter 4:10-11 (NIV) says, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."
Light of the World
John 8:12 - "Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.'"
We who follow Christ are called to shine as lights in a dark and broken world (Phil. 2:15). Like God's incarnate Word, His written Word is a light shining in dark places (1 Pet. 1:19), a lamp that lights our path (Psalm 119:105).
